Kara Sea/5-22-2012

   Location of Kara Sea is at the Western Siberia, between Novaya Zemly island (West), Franz Josef Land (NorthWest), and Severnaya Zemlya island (East).  Also connected with the Artic Basin (North), Barent Sea (West) and Laptev Sea (East).
  The area of the sea is 340,000 square miles, 880,000 square km.  Average depth is 417 feet (127m), and maximum depth is 2,038 feet (620m). 
  In Kara Sea, Soviet Union dumped large amounts of  radio Active waste.  They dumped six nuclear submarines reactors and ten nuclears reactors.  The  report was compiled and released by the Russian government in March 1993.  It was according to an official "white paper."
