Azam Khan Bio 12-14-2012


  Azam Khan was the King of the Bangladeshi pop music.  He was a pop singer, song writer, and freedom fighter.  His name was Mahbudul Haque Khan.  Who was born in February 28, 1950.  In 1970s he founded a band called "Uchcharon." It means pronunciation.  After that he got honored as Guru of Rock & Pop in Bangladesh.  Guru means maestro.  Most of his songs are hit like Saleka, Ore Maleka,  Jibone Kichchu Pabona, Ashi ashi bole tuimi and etc.  In 1971 he fought against Pakistan army in the Liberation war of Bangladesh.  When the war was over, after that he introduced an energetic brand of music.  Then in 1972 his first concert in television was broad casted.  The King of Bangladeshi pop or Guru Azam Khan died on June 5th, 2011 at the age 61.  His soul left his body from CMH hospital.  He suffered from oral cancer which had spread  to his lungs.  In 14 days his death came.  Guru has left us, but he gifted his songs to his people.  Thanks to Guru Azam Khan, and rest his soul in Peace.
